India’s pandemic death toll rose to 1059 deaths in 24 hour

In the past 24 hours, the highest number of cases were recorded in a single day. The Indian Health Ministry on Saturday reported there were 67,151 fresh cases of the pandemic (Covid-19).

Globally, 23,472,214 people have been infected with the virus so far.

India’s death toll rose to 1059 deaths recorded in the past 24 hours, pushing the total to over 32,34,474 coronavirus cases.

The country’s death toll rose to 59,449 and there are 7,07,267 active cases, according to the health ministry’s. There are 24,67,758 people who have been successfully discharged across the country till date, has pushed the recovery rate to 76.30%.

Meanwhile, a total of 3,76,51,512 samples were tested across the country as of Tuesday, said the Indian Council of Medical Research.
