The second black box - the flight data recorder - was recovered from the wreckage of a China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737-800 jet that slammed into a southern Chinese mountainside on Sunday, official media said.
Flight MU5735, carrying 132 passengers, was its route from Kunming in the southwest to Guangzhou on the coast on Monday when it plunged from cruising altitude just as it should have begun its landing descent.
There was little hope of locating survivors. Officials verified the deaths of those on board, including nine crew members, during a late-night news conference on Saturday.
The incident was mainland China's biggest air tragedy since 1994, when a China Northwest Airlines flight from Xian to Guangzhou crashed, killing all 160 passengers.
The cause of the China Eastern flight accident is unknown at this time.
The second black box - the cockpit voice recorder - was discovered on Wednesday and transported to Beijing for expert inspection.
