According to state media, the Saudi-led military coalition said early Sunday that Houthi rebels launched four attacks on the kingdom.

The statement stated that the attacks caused damage to civilian vehicles and homes but did not result in fatalities.

The latest series of Houthi cross-border attacks on Saudi Arabia stalled peace talks between the two sides. Yemen has been devastated by the ongoing conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran-backed Houthi rebels since 2015.

The coalition said the Houthis targeted an Aramco facility in Jizan, southern Saudi Arabia, early Sunday.

Additionally, they struck a desalination plant in Al-Shaqeeq, a power plant in the southern city of Dhahran al Janub, and a gas facility in Khamis Mushait, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The state news agency posted photos and a video clip of firefighters battling a blaze at the power station.

Later, local news outlet Al Ain reported that the coalition intercepted and destroyed nine drones launched against economic targets in the kingdom's southern region.

According to state television, the coalition also foiled an attack on an Aramco Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility in the Saudi port city of Yanbu.

Sunday's attacks come just days after a drone strike targeted an oil refinery in Riyadh on March 10. The Houthis claimed responsibility for the attack.

What is the most recent development in the conflict?

The six-nation Gulf Cooperation Council invited the Houthis to Riyadh on March 29 for talks on Yemen.

However, the rebels stated earlier this week that they would welcome talks with the coalition if the venue were a neutral country, including some Gulf states.

It also stated that lifting "arbitrary" restrictions on Yemeni ports and Sanaa airport were a priority.

Yemen has been embroiled in civil war since 2014, when the Houthis, backed by Iran, overthrew the government.

The rebels captured the northern part of the country, including the capital, Sanaa, forcing the internationally recognized government to flee to the south.

Since 2015, the Saudi-led coalition has been fighting Yemen's rebels.

As a result, the Houthis have frequently launched missile and drone attacks against the kingdom's southern region.
