As Prime Minister Boris Johnson announces further relaxation of coronavirus restrictions in England, hugging with family and friends and indoor socializing are expected to be permitted starting next week.
In a week, the next stage of the road map out of lockdown is expected to proceed as scheduled, with ministers meeting on Monday morning to agree on the next package of steps.
Most outdoor social interaction rules will be lifted on May 17, though gatherings of more than 30 people will remain illegal.
The rule of six or two households will apply indoors, with Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove indicating that physical interaction between friends and family will be permitted.
