Manchester City's undefeated run of 28 games across the competition has been broken by its city-rival, Manchester United.

United defeated CIty 2-nil, in a game that was held in City's home at the City of Manchester Stadium.

ManU took an early lead via a penalty after CIty's Jesus brought down Martial inside the box with a clumsy challenge. Bruno Fernandez converted the penalty in the second minute of the play.

Luke Shaw scored the second goal for Manchester in the 50^th minute.

With the win, United has now registered three consecutive wins against City. This first such time since the run of four-win between November 1993 and November 2000.

Despite the loss, Man-C is reigning at the top with 65 points from 28 games.

Manchester United at the second is far behind with 53 points from the same number of games.
