Parler has dropped its lawsuit against the Amazon Web Server. The social media platform had sued AWS following concerns over its content moderation policies.
However, the social media platform has filed another lawsuit against the Web Server Company. In its new lawsuit, Parler claims, AWS's tie-up with Twitter was one of the main reasons for booting social media.
Parler further alleges that AWS was aware of its negotiations with the then-US President Donald Trump, to hop onto Parler, following his ouster from Twitter and Facebook.
The social media company claims that Parler could have been a competitor to Twitter in microblogging if the negotiations were ever materialized.
Amazon, however, claims the allegations to be false. “As shown by the evidence in Parler’s federal lawsuit, it was clear that there was significant content on Parler that encouraged and incited violence against others, which is a violation of our terms of service,” a Parler representative said in a statement to The VERGE.
