Native Unity Council of Nepal successfully concluded its interaction program demanding civil justice and special rights for the people.
In an event held in Province no. 1 capital Biratnagar, the Native Unity Council urged youths to remain politically conscious and fight against the irregularities and civil injustices.
Program Co-ordinator Santosh Baraili demanded the CIAA to investigate financial irregularities in the name of Maoist combatants and the Lalita Niwas case.
These irregularities have been talking points of the Nepalese domestic politics as the investigations have not proceeded due to the involvement of the big politicians.
Welcoming the government’s decision to appoint Prem Kumar Rai as the chief commissioner of the CIAA, Baraili said that the hope of the entire Native communities is over him.
Baraili said to our correspondent that the main objective of the council is to raise the voice for the rights of the natives.
Council president Dipendra Singh Danuwar, General Secretary Amarendra Singh Danuwar, Vice President of the Indigenous Tribe Federation Naresh Kumar Singh Danuwar, etc urged that the state should be sensitive about the indigenous rights.
The Council has also demanded the government to revoke the Federalism “as it is too expensive for the lower-middle-income country.”
