Facebook has deleted Myanmar Military's Facebook page for violating its community standards for incitement of violence and harm.

The page named Tatmadaw, the other name for the country's military has been taken down for repeatedly violating community standards prohibiting incitement of violence and coordinating harm.

Myanmar has been seeing protests across the country after the military took over power detaining the leaders of the country on January 1.

Police used deadly violence against the protesters when the live bullets were used to disperse the crowd. Two people died in the city named Mandalay after being hit by the bullets on Saturday.

The United Nations Security General Antonio Guterres condemned the Myanmar Military's actions for using lethal force against the protestors.

"I condemn the use of deadly violence in Myanmar. The use of lethal force, intimidation, and harassment against peaceful demonstrators is unacceptable. Everyone has a right to peaceful assembly. I call on all parties to respect election results and return to civilian rule," Guterres said in a tweet.

Three people have died so far in the protests and hundreds have been injured.
