Last Saturday, Messi had eqauled the tally with Brazilian soccer legend Pele scoring his 643th goal. Pele held the record of the highest-scorer for a single club, scoring 643 goals for Brazilian club Santos FC.
The 33-year-old Argentine, on Saturday, matched Pele's goal record with a goal against Valencia. Messi also assisted Clement for the opening goal.
