In the battleground state of Georgia, Democrat Joe Biden is leading President Donald Trump now.
In the number of ballots counted in the battleground, Biden overtook Trump by Friday morning, a must-win state for Trump that has long been a Republican stronghold. Biden now has an advantage of 917 votes.
For The Associated Press, the contest is still too early to call. There are still thousands of ballots left to be counted, many in counties where the former Vice-President was in the lead.
An AP analysis showed that as counties processed mail ballots cast in his favor, Biden's voter margins grew.
There is a possibility that it could go to a recount for the race. Under Georgia law, a recount can be requested if the margin between Biden and Trump is less than half a percentage point difference.
Biden is pushing closer to the 270 votes needed to carry the White House Electoral College, securing victories in the Wisconsin and Michigan battlegrounds and narrowing the path of President Donald Trump.
