The late king of the Kingdom of Thailand, Bhumibol Adulyadej, has a special place in the hearts of Thai Nepalese. They remembered the popular king by taking part in social work early on Tuesday morning.
On the occasion of the late Thai King Bhumibol's birthday, officials and volunteers of the Thai Nepali Association Phuket Branch planted trees and cleaned the beach near Patong.
The Thai King is regarded as God by Thai Nepalis, Burmese Nepalis, and Nepalese all over.

Jagatnath Niraula, president of the Phuket branch of the Thai Nepali Association, said that they planted trees and cleaned the beach in commemoration of the day the king was born.
Bhumibol, who left the world at the age of 88, is considered the most powerful king by Thai citizens. Not only Thais, but Nepalese also celebrate the day of his birth as 'National Father's Day.'
