The Rock is Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Johnson's passion project is the DC Comics antihero film "Black Adam," in which he stars.

Johnson told Reuters, "This is the position for me." Despite starring in a succession of box office hits, the "Red Notice" actor felt apprehensive about releasing this film because it is a departure from his previous performances.

He elaborated, "Everything I've been fortunate enough to do in my career, from wrestling to cinema and everything else, has built up to this moment. Everything has built up to this and this persona."

Black Adam initially appeared in a Fawcett comic book published in 1945. Since the 1970s, DC Comics has owned the character, initially as a supervillain and then as a superhero.

In the film, Black Adam, the ancient hero of the fictitious kingdom Kahndaq, gets released from prison after 5,000 years, and he is not pleased to be awakened so abruptly.

Johnson stated, "This one means so much to me because you only get one chance in a lifetime, and I wanted to give it my all." The actor-turned-wrestler also hopes that fans will identify with the film in the same way he did as a child with the Black Adam persona.

He stated, "When I saw my first "Black Adam" comic, where the hero, the supervillain, had brown skin and was equally as powerful as Superman, I believe that was a launching point for a few children in different cultures throughout the world to say, "Oh, that's me. I am that Black Adam."

Sarah Shahi as Isis, Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, and Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone are among his co-stars.

"Black Adam," a film produced by AT&T Inc's (T.N) Warner Bros subsidiary New Line Cinema, will be released on Friday.
