On Tuesday, Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin apologized over a photograph of two topless influencers locking lips at a private party held at her official residence.

Tuesday, Finland's prime minister stated to reporters, "In my opinion, the picture is not appropriate, I apologize for it. That kind of a picture should not have been taken but otherwise, nothing extraordinary happened at the get-together. "

Marin's public apology for the X-rated exhibition comes only days after leaked videos of the prime minister's wild dancing and partying at a separate event sparked an uproar and prompted her to submit to drug tests to clear her name voluntarily.

Marin, one of the world's youngest leaders at 36 years old, stated that the latest controversial photo was taken in July during a private party with her friends at her apartment in Helsinki, following a music festival.

"We had sauna, swam and spent time together," she added, describing the party at her beachfront home.

The photograph depicted two prominent influencers kissing as their breasts were covered with a placard that read "Finland."

Finns are divided about Marin's actions, with some expressing support for the young leader's decision to combine her private life and high-profile profession. In contrast, others have questioned whether her leisure activities could damage her judgment.

Social Democrat leader Marin consented to a drug test on Friday, stating that she had never used drugs and had not witnessed anybody else doing so at the party she attended when she was recorded dancing and singing with a group of Finnish celebrities.

The Finnish newspaper Seiska published a second video, allegedly captured later that night at a Helsinki nightclub, which appears to show the prime minister, a married mother of one, dancing intimately with an unknown man to "I Got a Feeling" by the Black Eyed Peas.

Marin, who has a 4-year-old child with her husband of two years, Markus Raikkonen, was seen dancing closely with at least three different guys and sitting on the laps of two men, according to a witness testimony quoted by the publication.

On Monday, the results of Marin's drug test were negative.

Marin told Reuters in January that she and other young female ministers had been the victim of many hate speech because of their gender and looks while in office.

In December 2021, she had to apologize for spending the night at a nightclub after having close contact with a person who tested positive for COVID.

Marin stated that she missed a text message telling her to isolate herself because she left her work phone at home, even though, as prime minister, she was required to carry the device at all times.
