This week, a video was leaked showing Finnish Prime Minister Sanna Marin dancing with pals in a private residence.

Opposition members of parliament have strongly condemned Marin, 36, for the leaked videos of the prime minister partying with rappers, social media influencers, and other Finnish celebrities.

According to the BBC, she defended her activities in comments to reporters: "I have a family life, I have a work life and I have free time to spend with my friends. Pretty much the same as many people my age."

Marin added, "I am going to be exactly the same person as I have been until now and I hope that it will be accepted,"

Marin is the youngest prime minister in the world and has been frequently at music festivals and nightclubs since assuming office.

Detractors argue Marin's lack of professionalism and public exposure are unbecoming of a world leader.

This is hardly the first scandal regarding the young prime minister's public conduct.

Marin was subject to considerable scrutiny during the pandemic as it was reported that she attended a nightclub after exposure to a person with COVID-19.

That Saturday evening, her state secretary informed her that Foreign Affairs Minister Pekka Haavisto had tested positive for COVID-19. The prime minister continued to leave her government phone at home before venturing into the community.

Marin went to supper with her husband, saw friends, and "spent time in the evening and night life as well."

Marin didn't become aware she had received additional instructions on her work phone to avoid contact with others and be tested for COVID-19 until the next day.

Marin commented on Facebook at the time, "I should have used better consideration on Saturday night," "I'm really sorry."
