Australia won nine more gold medals on the ninth day of the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, extending its lead in the overall tally.

Two Australians reached the final of the women's singles table tennis classes 6-10, securing two national medals.

Li Na Lei won the silver medal, while Qian Yang won the gold medal.

Australia also won gold in gymnastics, diving, lawn bowls, and athletics.
