Human rights organizations have condemned the execution of four pro-democracy political prisoners by the Myanmar military junta.

The Nepal Human Rights Organization has requested that the international community stop the brutal dictatorship of the Junta forces.

On Tuesday, the organization demonstrated in front of the United Nations office in Nepal at Pulchok. Human rights activists picketed in front of the UN House Pulchok, condemning the cowardly and reprehensible actions of Myanmar's junta government, such as the death penalty.

They demanded the end of military government and restoration of democracy in Myanmar. Rights activists worldwide have called for an immediate arms embargo on Myanmar.

Mahamunishwar Acharya, President of Nepal Human Rights Organization, appealed to the United Nations to take effective steps to protect the lives of the innocent people of Myanmar.

In 1988, Ko Jimmy, a veteran activist of the uprising against the military regime, and Phyo Jea Thaa, a famous artist and former parliamentarian, were hanged by the government for their public campaign.

Along with Jimmy and Thaa, Hla Myo Aung and Aung Thura Zaw were charged with "terrorist activities" in Myanmar. Seeing the hideous behavior of the military, "more concern about Myanmar'' has been expressed at home and abroad.

President of Nepal Human Rights Organization, Maha Munishwar Acharya, senior human rights activist Pradeep Pokharel, senior human rights activist Sushil Pyakurel, senior journalist Kanakamani Dixit, Transparency International Nepal's Padmini Pradhanang, and other human rights activists participated in the demonstration.
