The trailer was released on social media following the conclusion of Marvel's panel at the San Diego Comic-Con. The teaser capped Marvel's showcase during the event and has numerous central Marvel Cinematic Universe reveals (MCU).
Ramonda (Angela Bassett) is now Queen of Wakanda and appears to be grieving after T'Challa's presumed death (Chadwick Boseman). Ramonda tries to hold back her emotions as she proclaims, "I am the queen of the most powerful nation, and my entire family is dead. Have I not given my all?"
The teaser - set to Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" – concludes with a brief glimpse of someone donning the Black Panther outfit. However, it is unknown who assumes the mantle. The trailer also indicates that Namor The Submariner (Tenoch Huerta) will make his MCU debut and play a vital role in the Black Panther sequel.
Little is known about the film's premise or the franchise's future.
The international release of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is slated for November 11.
Marvel has also announced several new films, and Disney+ programs for the subsequent two phases of its cinematic universe, culminating in 2025 with the release of two Avengers flicks named Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars.
Among the other announced films and shows are The Thunderbolts, Daredevil: Born Again, Captain America: New World Order, and more.
Daniel Kaluuya revealed earlier this month that he would not be returning to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever due to schedule difficulties with Jordan Peele's Nope.
The filming of Ryan Coogler's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever concluded in March this year, following multiple delays. The sequel's production was halted last year after Shuri's actress, Letitia Wright, was injured in a stunt rig accident in Boston.
Following Chadwick Boseman's death in 2020, Marvel declared that T'Challa would not be recast in the sequel. In addition to Wright, it is anticipated that Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Martin Freeman, Winston Duke, and Angela Bassett will reprise their roles.
