Mexico's foreign ministry says Samsung will invest $500 million

On Monday, Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard announced that Samsung Electronics would invest $500 million in Mexico to enhance domestic appliance production.

Ebrard stated on Twitter that the investment would be made in Tijuana and Queretaro in central Mexico. He said he met with the company's CEO, Han Jong-Hee.
