According to TMZ, Britney Spears signed a prenuptial agreement with Sam Asghari to preserve her assets and reported a £60 million fortune before their wedding.

On Thursday, the 40-year-old singer married Sam, 28, at her house in Los Angeles, in front of 60 guests; however, they had to complete some paperwork before enjoying the rest of their lives together.

Britney's multimillion-dollar income will not go to Sam if they divorce, as all of her earnings before marriage are held in her accounts.

Shortly after they announced their engagement in September, Sam had previously joked on Instagram about them having a prenuptial agreement, joking that his possessions required protection.

The fitness trainer penned: "Thank you to everybody concerned with The prenup!

"Of course we're getting an iron clad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection incase she dumps me one day."

A source told PEOPLE that the pair seemed to be off to a great start in their marriage "They are both quite joyful.

The wedding was beyond what Britney could have dreamed for.

After walking down the aisle in a custom Atelier Versace in front of her famous friends Madonna, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez, and Drew Barrymore, Britney changed into three other clothes before taking to social media to express her happiness at becoming a newlywed once more.
