On Tuesday, a man fatally shot a woman and then himself in a supermarket in central Germany, according to authorities.
The event occurred shortly after 1 p.m. local time in the little hamlet of Treysa, and authorities promptly stated that the public was not in danger.
According to a police statement, witnesses said a guy shot and murdered a woman in a supermarket before presumably killing himself immediately afterward. They stated that there were no indications of additional involvement.
According to authorities, only the 53-year-old woman and the 58-year-old male were injured.
They provided no information regarding a possible relationship between the two and stated that the incident's context is still under investigation.
