At least 20 people have died, and 30 others have been injured in Afghanistan due to flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall in more than ten provinces.
Mawlawi Sharfuddin Muslim, the Afghan Acting Deputy Minister of Natural Disaster Management, said the flood wrecked dozens of buildings and killed approximately 100 cattle.
The water affected Kandahar, Helmand, Herat, Badakhshan, Takhar, Parwan, Kunduz, Maidan Wardak, Baghlan, Faryab, and Jawzjan provinces.
On the other hand, Baghlan, Parwan, and Badghis are the three provinces hardest hit.
