The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Sunday that they are launching artillery shells at a site inside Lebanon in reprisal against the rocket fire.
"In response to the projectile launched from Lebanon into northern Israel earlier tonight, IDF Artillery forces are currently targeting the source of the launch in Lebanon," they announced on Twitter.
Earlier this week, the Israeli army stated that a rocket fired from Lebanon landed harmlessly in an open region near the village of Shlomi.
It said no missile warning sirens were activated in Israel, adding that the area's alert level remained normal.
A Hezbollah-affiliated news channel, Al-Akhbar, reported that the missile was launched from Lebanon's Tyre area.
