According to Lebanese Al-Mayadeen TV, the joint command of the Saudi aggressor coalition claimed that it would halt military operations in Yemen on Wednesday to ensure the success of Yemeni consultations.
According to the statement, the goal of ending the military operation inside Yemen is to create conducive conditions for consultations and to secure a peace agreement with Yemeni forces led by Ansarulla.
Intra-Yemeni consultations are scheduled to begin in Riyadh on Tuesday (March 29th) and will last until April 7th.
The consultations will cover six areas, including military, political, human rights, and social issues, to reopen humanitarian corridors and establish stability.
Sana'a's government, led by the Houthi Ansarullah movement, previously stated that the talks must take place in a neutral country and that it will therefore abstain from participating.
Abdel-Aziz bin Habtour, Prime Minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government, has already stated that the first step toward resolving the Yemeni crisis should be the cessation of the Saudi coalition's invasion of Yemen.
According to Habtour, the aggressor countries request talks in Sanaa while bombing the city daily.
The PM added that lifting the blockade and reopening ports and airports are prerequisites for any dialogue with aggressor countries.
Yemeni Prime Minister Ali Abdullah Saleh also described Saudi Arabia's requests and initiatives to resolve the Yemeni crisis to divert public opinion and stated that any dialogue should take place in a geographically neutral region, not in Sanaa or Riyadh.
The mediator tasked with resolving the crisis between all parties to the dialogue must be trustworthy and balanced- noting that Saudi Arabia is a party to the situation and thus cannot act as a mediator.
The Saudi-Emirati-led military coalition's invasion of Yemen entered its eighth year recently, with the aggressors failing to accomplish any of their objectives since 2015.
