Hundreds of flights get canceled in the capital of berlin due to the strike by the security staff in the dispute going around for wages. 

Frankfurt Airport, the country's busiest hub, handled transit passengers today, as security checkpoints for departing passengers remained closed.

According to a statement given by the operator, almost every flight from Hamburg Airport was canceled due to the one-day strike.

Therefore there were many disruptions all over German airports because of this.

The flight attendants were asked to contact their airline or tour operator before traveling to the airport to know about the current status of their flights and be informed to get little hand luggage if possible. 

The security staff was demanding a raise on an hourly basis and some improvement in the working environment.
 
The Federal Association of Aviation Security Companies (BDLS) held a meeting last week but was ended without any results. 

Further talks and meeting is expected to happen in Frankfurt on Thursday.
