According to the press, Israel has refused to assist with an inquiry being conducted by a special UN panel into crimes committed during the Zionist regime's onslaught on the Gaza Strip in May 2021.
The Times of Israel published parts from a letter sent by Israel's Ambassador to the United Nations and international organizations in Geneva, Meirav Eilon Shahar, in which he reveals his country's official stance.
Shahar chastised the team led by former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay of South Africa.
The envoy maintained his country's argument about the purported UN bias on that topic.
By 29 votes for, nine against and 14 abstentions, the Human Rights Council approved to investigate the Israeli crimes committed in the Palestinian enclave, where more than 250 people were killed during the 11 days of airstrikes.
