According to reports, a vehicle bomb exploded in a region in the province of Herat in western Afghanistan, killing at least seven people, including four women.

According to the Afghan news agency The Khaama Press, local health officials stated five women and four children were among the injured.

A vehicle exploded in the Haji Abbas region of Herat, triggering an inquiry, according to the Herat Police Headquarters.

As per the intelligence authorities, the truck was equipped with a magnetic improvised explosive device.

No one or no organization has claimed credit for the terrorist act so yet.

According to the report, this is the first lethal explosion in Herat province since the Taliban retook power in the nation in August of last year.
