Authorities said on Monday that the US-based comedian Bob Saget was found dead in his apartment at the age of 65 Monday.

Police said there were no signs that foul play or drugs were involved in his death.

"Earlier today, deputies were called to the Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes for a call about an unresponsive man in a hotel room. The man was identified as Robert Saget and pronounced deceased on the scene. Detectives found no signs of foul play or drug use in this case," the Sheriff's statement read.

As part of his comedy tour, Saget was in Florida. 

He played Saturday night in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, according to tour dates pinned to his Twitter account.
