Billie Eilish and Kanye West will reportedly headline Coachella 2022.
After being forced to cancel its 2020 and 2021 editions by COVID, the festival will return to the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, over two consecutive weekends (April 15-17 and 22-24).
While fans await the festival's formal announcement, Variety has learned that Eilish and West will headline Saturday and Sunday evenings, respectively. Subsequently, Consequence Of Sound claimed to have obtained the same information.
It follows claims that Swedish House Mafia will also headline, though their exact placement on the bill is unknown.
Last month, it was announced that Travis Scott had been dropped from the Coachella 2022 lineup after the November Astroworld disaster, which resulted in the death of ten people and several injuries due to a crowd surge.
Scott was named a headliner alongside Frank Ocean and Rage Against the Machine at the Coachella 2020. Rage will not perform at this year's event, according to TMZ.
A formal announcement of the lineup is planned in the following days. Coachella 2022 is now sold out, while there is speculation that it may be postponed for a fifth time due to worries over the COVID Omicron variation.
Eilish, 20, would become the festival's youngest headliner, having had an electrifying debut in 2019. NME lauded the pop artist as a "future headliner" in a favorable performance review.
In June, the 'Happier Than Ever' singer will also headline Glastonbury for the first time as the youngest solo artist.
Kanye West, working on 'Donda 2', previously headlined Coachella in 2011.
