The aircraft's operating firm stated that a tiny plane attempting to land minutes after taking off on a route to Florida crashed in the Dominican Republic on Wednesday, killing all nine persons on board, including Puerto Rican music producer José ngel Hernández.

The Gulfstream plane was carrying two crew members and seven passengers, according to Helidosa Aviation Group's Twitter account.

According to the firm, the jet took off from El Higüero airport for Orlando, Fla., before attempting to land at Las Americas International Airport in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic's capital. The corporation provided no information about why the pilots aborted the trip or the crash's suspected causes.

Following the disaster, the airport shut down operations, canceling hundreds of flights.

Hernández, also known as "Flow La Movie," created Urban Latin hits including Bad Bunny's "Te Boté" and Ozuna's "Te Boté." He also produced Nio Garcia, Brray, and Juanka's "La Jeepeta," as well as Bryant Myers, Arcangel, Nicky Jam, El Alfa, and Darell's "Wow Remix."
