Kim Kardashian has asked for the quick dissolution of her marriage to rapper Kanye West, stating that no reconciliation will be "of any value at this time."
The reality actress, 41, stated that irreconcilable issues between the couple "continue to exist" and that she had requested the break multiple times from West.
According to legal documents obtained by the PA news agency, Kardashian stated that dissolving the marriage would cause "no prejudice" to West and that both parties deserved the "opportunity to build new lives."
"I am submitting this declaration in support of my application for an order divorcing and terminating my marriage to respondent, Kanye West," she stated.
"Irreconcilable conflicts existed and continue to exist between (West) and me, resulting in the irreversible breakdown of our marriage.
"At this point, no counseling or reconciliation endeavor will be fruitful.
"There will be no adverse effect on (West) if our marriage is immediately dissolved, especially given that we adhered to the terms of our premarital agreement and maintained the separate property status of our assets throughout our marriage."
"I have been attempting to resolve our divorce with (West) since I filed for divorce in February 2021," she continued.
"I have pleaded with (West) multiple times to agree to divorcing and terminating our married status.
"I have not received a response to my request from (West)."
"Both (West) and I deserve the chance to rebuild our lives. As a result, I am requesting that my plea to divorce and dissolve our marriage be granted."
On November 21, the request was filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court.
It comes despite West's repeated calls for Kardashian and West to mend their issues, although West legally changed his name to Ye.
During last week's Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert in Los Angeles, the rapper repeated the lyrics "I need you to run right back to me" and added, "specifically, Kimberly."
He previously addressed the reality star in a lengthy Thanksgiving prayer uploaded on Instagram, in which he said how he spends each day contemplating "how I can reunite my family."
