According to officials, a police officer in Kenya shot and killed his wife and five other people with an AK-47 in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
According to a police report, a witness heard "a loud bang" coming from a house occupied by the police officer in the issue.
Two motorbike taxi drivers were among the victims of what authorities describe as a "shooting spree" in Kabete, a suburb of Nairobi.
The cop later committed suicide, according to a police statement.
Although the cause for the killings is unknown, authorities told the AFP news agency that the couple had been feuding.
"We are told that the couple had issues and were quarrelling before," police head Francis Wahome told AFP.
The police officer, identified by authorities as Police Constable Benson Imbasi, "started shooting at innocent members of the public frenziedly" after murdering his wife, Carol, according to the police report.
Two further persons were injured and are being treated in a hospital.
