On Wednesday, search and rescue operations in Nigeria began their third day as rescuers scrambled to discover lives after a 21-story skyscraper in Lagos collapsed.

Two more bodies have been recovered from the rubble, raising the total death toll to 22 persons, according to emergency officials.

The building was under construction when it collapsed on Monday in Nigeria's commercial capital's posh Ikoyi neighborhood, trapping more than 50 construction workers.

By Tuesday, ten dead had been found, with many more believed to be trapped beneath the rubble, including the building's owner, Mr Femi Osibona.

Nine people have been rescued so far, but more than 20 workers are believed to be trapped.
