The ISIL terrorist group claimed responsibility for the terrorist strike in Kabul on Tuesday, which resulted in many victims.

On Tuesday, two large explosions and gunshots were heard near the Sardar Mohammad Daud Khan military hospital in Kabul, Afghanistan's capital.

"A suicide bomb attack took place in a 400-bed hospital next to the Ministry of Public Health," an eyewitness said, adding that bullets were fired following the blast.

Residents uploaded photos of a column of smoke rising from the blast site near the former diplomatic zone in the city's Wazir Akbar Khan neighborhood, and witnesses reported at least two helicopters were circling overhead.

At least 25 people were killed, and 50 more were injured in the terrorist attack on the Kabul military hospital.

ISIL has carried out at least three terrorist strikes on civilians in Kabul, Kunduz, and Kandahar in the last several weeks, killing over 200 people and injuring approximately 300 more.
