According to Palestinian media sources, at least four gunmen, all Hamas in the West Bank, were killed during violent skirmishes with IDF soldiers in Biddo near Ramallah.

Palestinians are also said to have opened fire on IDF soldiers at Burqin, west of Ramallah, where Israeli security forces were encircling a residence during the arrests.

Several Palestinians are said to have been injured in the fighting.

Arrests were also reported in the towns of Beit Fajjar and Hebron, both south of Bethlehem.

In Beit 'Anan, a Palestinian community north of Jerusalem, two people were injured in clashes.

According to an IDF spokesperson, the detention raids were carried out mainly by the military's elite Duvdevan counter-terrorism unit, counter-terrorism units from the Israel Police and Border Police, and the Shin Bet security organization.

Palestinians reportedly fired at the Jamalah checkpoint near Jenin earlier Saturday night in protest of arrests in the city. Following the recapture of six Palestinians who fled from adjacent Gilboa prison earlier this month, Israel reopened the Jamalah crossing.

On Friday, Mohammad Ali Khabisa, 28, was murdered by IDF soldiers in Beita, south of Nablus, in the West Bank.
