A former South African policewoman accused of murdering members of her family for money was secretly filmed while planning the assassination of her relatives. It was rumored that she was doing it for the insurance money.
Nomia Rosemary Ndlovu, a Thembisa woman, is now in detention and is scheduled to appear in court today for many killings. Her 8th murder would result from a secretly recorded discussion in which she planned the murder of her sister and five children.
In a sting operation, police investigators videotaped her and detained her shortly after.
Following her sister's death, Ndlovu planned to file an insurance claim. The 5 children were reportedly slain to wipe out evidence.
Between 2012 and 2018, Ndlovu is suspected of orchestrating the murders of six family members, including her partner, sister, and nephews. On those deaths, she claimed R1.4 million in insurance.
She had also hired a hitman to kill her own mother, but he allegedly backed out when he arrived at her mother's house.
