According to BulgarianMilitary.com, Israeli defense forces bombed several targets in the Gaza Strip in reaction to incendiary balloons thrown from there, creating fires in the southern portion of the nation.

“Today, Hamas released incendiary balloons and set fires in Israel as Israelis prepared to celebrate the Jewish New Year (...). In retaliation, we struck Hamas' missile production and military base in Gaza,” the military said in a Twitter statement.

The concrete plant in Khan Younis has been identified as one of the objectives. The concrete produced at the plant, according to the military, was used to construct a network of Hamas subterranean tunnels.

According to the report, the sites hit by Israel were in the heart of a residential area in the Gaza Strip, adjacent to cultural sites, mosques, and water infrastructure.

Three fires broke out at the Shaar Hanegev District Council earlier on Monday. Molotov cocktails hurled from the Gaza Strip, according to Israeli media claims, were to blame.

In 2021, there will be a "rocket war."

Israel and Gaza have been exchanging constant and severe missile assaults since May. Israel resorted to airstrikes and was on the verge of dispatching ground soldiers, heavily armored vehicles, and tanks to Gaza. Netanyahu's decision was thwarted by international pressure on Tel Aviv.

Gaza has put Israel's Iron Dome air defense system to the test by launching rockets at practically every city in the country. Three missiles were fired from Syria by pro-Palestinian forces, and many artillery shells were fired from Lebanon. Hamas use Qassam rockets, which it manufactures. As we previously stated, the Palestinians' decision is surprising, given that they have far more technologically advanced rockets and greater devastating power.

For its part, Israel used the Iron Dome air defense system to defend itself, intercepting more than 90% of the missiles fired throughout the nation. Tel Aviv launched multiple airstrikes, the most significant of which involved 150 planes, 165 targets, and over 1,000 bombs in just a few hours. Much of Hamas' underground tunnels in Gaza, known as the Hamas subway, have been demolished by Israel.

According to Israel, the IDF has killed 120 Hamas members and 20 Islamic Jihad members. There were 232 Palestinians slain in total; 65 of them were youngsters. However, it is unclear whether this figure includes the 120 Hamas members who were slain.

What's going on in the neighborhood?

The violence erupted when attention was drawn to contentious judicial and political measures in East Jerusalem's Palestinian-populated Sheikh Jara area. Initially, an Israeli court decided that Palestinians should be expelled from the area and replaced with Israelis. A hearing on the eviction was held, but it was postponed because it never ended last Sunday.

Al-Quds and Hamas launched a brief missile attack on Jerusalem on Monday, May 10, responding to the eviction order. For the second day in a row, Israel did not comply with the Palestinians, resulting in a retaliatory strike and rocket fire between the two countries.

According to a field source, Israel has used fighter jets and tanks in the war and has targeted 130 targets in Gaza. The Hamas movement is linked to these objectives. These objectives, according to Israeli authorities, are also linked to terrorist organizations.

The world community applauds Israeli and Palestinian factions, but no compromise will be reached anytime soon, as both sides have stated.
