US Central Command launched a vehicle against a vehicle that was allegedly carrying ISIS-K weapons and suicide bombers, last night (Afghanistan Time).

Although there was no immediate word on causalities from the US Central Command, now it has been reported that nine people were killed in the airstrike including multiple children.

According to an Afghan official, who spoke at the condition of anonymity, at least three children were killed in the airstrike.

The Central Command has denied speaking about the causalities in the incident, yet.

The United States has launched its offensive against the ISIS-K (also known as ISKP) following the attack in Kabul airport, last Thursday.

The Taliban has condemned the bombings at the airport and has urged its people to remain calm. However, the ruling group in Afghanistan has also condemned the so-called "defensive" airstrike in parts of Afghanistan, saying that it violates the national sovereignty of Afghanistan.

The Taliban and US forces have increased security around the airport since Thursday’s attack. The Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said on Saturday that Washington believed there were still “specific and credible” threats against the airport.
