As the US pullout nears its finish, the Taliban announced on Saturday that they are putting together a new cabinet.
The Taliban's chief spokesperson, Zabihullah Mujahid, made the statement as the US military prepared to remove soldiers and evacuate U.S. residents and vulnerable Afghans from Kabul airport before the August 31 deadline set by the US President.
The exact date of the formation of a new cabinet is still yet to be determined, he added.
The constitution of the new cabinet would be determined "in one or two weeks," Mujahid said in a voice message.
