Premier League: Arsenal suffers a humiliating defeat against Manchester City

Scenes were horrifying for the Arsenal Fans watching the third defeat in a row for their club in the 2021-22 edition of the English Premier League.

In the league match held at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City, the away team suffered a humiliating five-nil defeat.

The three-time Premier League winners are at the bottom of the table after losing their consecutive matches against Chelsea, Brentford, and Manchester City. 

It was the second 5-nil victory in a row for the City. The hosts completely dominated the game.

Ilkay Gundogan opened the account for City in the seventh minute of the game, and the lead was doubled by the Spanish youngster Ferran Torres in the 12th minute.

Arsenal were reduced to 10 players before the first half, after, Granit Xhaka was shown the red card by the referee at the thirty-fifth minute for a two-footed lunge on Joao Cancelo.

Gabrial Jesus scored the third for City to make it 3- nil before the first half.

Rodri placed a fourth into the corner and Torres then wrapped up the scoring with his second of the day with a close-range header.

City dominated all aspects of the game and had possession for more than 80% of the game. They have moved to the top of the table with the smooth victory against the gunners.
