On the same day, the Taliban vowed to usher in a new inclusive age in Afghanistan that celebrates "women's rights," Taliban gunmen shot and murdered a lady in Afghanistan for not wearing a burqa.

According to Fox News, a photo emerged of a lady in Takhar province laying in a pool of blood, surrounded by loved ones, after she was slain by militants for being out in public without a head covering.

Following its quick takeover of the nation in the absence of US forces, who had been supporting up ally military organizations since immediately after the September 11, 2001 attacks, the group launched its version of a charm offensive.

At a press conference, Taliban spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid stated that the militants will respect women's rights while adhering to Sharia law, which is extremely stringent. The insurgents urged women to return to school and work, and a female journalist was allowed a broadcast interview by another Taliban spokesperson.

Mujahid also promised to offer amnesty to Afghans who collaborated with the US-backed administration that was overthrown.

Before 9/11, the Taliban in Afghanistan forbade women and girls from leaving the house without a male chaperone, and they were denied the right to work or get an education.

Insurgents also promised not to interfere with US-led evacuation operations of Westerners and their Afghan friends on Tuesday, instead claiming control of Hamid Karzai International Airport's gates and assaulting those attempting to escape.

“There were children, women, babies, old women who could barely walk,” a former Afghan State Department contractor told Fox. “I'm telling you, they're in a very, very bad situation. I was thinking towards the end that there were 10,000 or more people, and they were all racing into the airport... Others were being beaten by the Taliban, and people were jumping from the fence, concertina wire, and even the wall.”

According to the allegation, Taliban gunmen were seen firing weapons as they patrolled districts populated by activists and government employees in Kabul.

According to the story, militants sought anyone who had assisted the US and questioned the former defense contractor's neighbors about him.
