Taliban capture Afghani Province of Zabul

Taliban continue to advance in Afghanistan as the militant group captured Zabul Province on Saturday.

The Islamist-fundamentalist group captured the Zabul province as they captured Qalat city, the capital of Zabul. 

All of Zabul has been captured by the rebel mujahidin group including the governor's office at the capital.

"The Zabul city including other provinces have been capture at this time, and they give up to the Taliban, we are very happy that the national security forces including the governor's office have been given up peacefully not by war," a Taliban spokesperson said.

Zabul province is the neighboring province to Kandahar and became an independent province separating from Kandahar in 1963.

Taliban have been capturing parts of Afghanisthan and have taken control of more than half of the country as they target to take control of Kabul, where there has been an increased presence of foreign troops as the countries like the US and the UK are preparing to flee their Embassy out of the war-torn country.
