The star from the HBO series "I May Destroy You" has been reported to join the casting of the Black Panther Sequel.
The British Actress Michaela Coel's joining the MCU was first reported by the Entertainment magazine Variety which said she joined production at Atlanta’s Pinewood Studio, which originally began in June.
The planned direction of the movie has certainly been changed after the death of the actor Chadwick Boseman who played T'Challa in the movie. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has confirmed that T'Challa will not be recast in the MCU.
Coel's casting has not been confirmed by Marvel Studios yet and we don't know which role is she being cast into.
However, Fans say she is being cast as the Mutant Storm from the X-men comics who has quite a history with Wakanda in the comics. Coel's British-Ghanian heritage seems perfect for the character.
Although the casting for the movie is kind of revealed, we might need to wait till the eighth of July 2022 when the movie "Wakanda Forever" will hit the theater, considering how things in Marvel go.
