According to local media, at least 15 earthquakes shook Taiwan in the last 24 hours, although no damage or casualties were reported anywhere on the island.
According to Taiwan News, all of the earthquakes, which began on Wednesday afternoon, struck Hualien County, which is located on the island nation's east coast.
The magnitude of the shocks ranged from 3.1 to 5.4 on the Richter scale, with depths ranging from five kilometers (3.1 miles) to 14.2 kilometers (8.8 miles).
The most recent earthquake in the county occurred at 6:11 a.m. on Thursday (2211GMT Wednesday).
There were no reported injuries or serious damage, according to authorities.
