Since Tuesday morning, three more districts in three distinct Afghan provinces have fallen to the Taliban, according to the Tolo TV website.
After Afghanistan government forces left, local officials confirmed that Farang District in Baghlan, Muqur District in Badghis, and Shighnan District in Badakhshan had fallen to the Taliban.
At least five more Afghan cities fell to the Taliban last night in the provinces of Herat, Badghis, Samangan, and Nangarhar.
While intra-Afghan discussions continue in Doha, Qatar, the Taliban have been attacking Afghan security personnel around the country for the past two months. According to a statement released by the group earlier this week, they had taken control of more than 130 districts.
