On Monday, a chemical facility outside Bangkok exploded, injuring at least 21 people, according to the local newspaper Bangkok Post.
The incident occurred in the province of Samut Prakan, and it resulted in extensive damage to nearby structures, including residential areas.
Plastic pellets were made in the Ming Dih facility, which was located near the Suvarnabhumi airport. In the early hours of the morning, a fire broke out. Flights were unaffected, according to the publication.
According to the Bangkok Post, more than 30 fire engines and helicopters were dispatched. Firefighters were seen sifting through the debris to get closer to the blazes.
