The United States Military carried out airstrikes in Iraq and Syria on allegedly "Iran-backed military facilities."

Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby confirmed that the US struck down three targets in Iraq and Syria of the "Iran-backed militia groups."

The facilities lied at the border between the countries. Two of the facilities were in Syria and the other was on Iraq.

Syrian Arab News Agency, SANA, reported that one child was killed in Syria and three others were wounded.

Pentagon has not disclosed if anyone was killed or injured.

2,500 Us troops have been deployed in Iraq where the US military has carried out 40+ airstrikes since the start of the year.
