Israel has an addition to its highly sophisticated air-defense system after it successfully tested airborne high-power laser.
The Airborne High-power laser strikes down drones from a distance, which will be important for the countries goal to sure dominance in the middle east and continue crackdown Palestine.
Israel's anti-missile Dome intercepted most of the missiles fired by the Hamas into the "Israeli administered region."
The laser system which has not been named yet will be incorporated in Israel's multi-tier air defenses, which include the Iron Dome system for downing short-range rockets and David's Sling and Arrow systems against ballistic missiles.
A prototype was developed with Israeli electronics company Elbit Systems and was mounted on a civilian plane.
It shot down several drones in a recent test over the Mediterranean Sea, said Brig Gen Yaniv Rotem, head of military research and development at the Defence Ministry.
