Portuguese Football star, Cristiano Ronaldo's comments over Coca Cola has roiled the fortunes for the company's share which has suffered a more than 4-billion loss following the comments.
During a pre-match press conference, Ronaldo picked up two bottles of Coca-Cola which were already laid out before him, and said “Water. Coca-Cola…”
He then grabbed a bottle of water and said water is a healthier choice. This small thing plummeted the shares of the multinational beverage brand so low that the company has suffered a more than USD 4billion loss.
The tiny and seemingly harmless gestures had a huge impact on the brand's fortune. Coca-Cola's loss is 1.6% of its net market worth.
