On Sunday evening, President Joe Biden broke royal tradition by revealing the contents of his discussion with the Queen to the media.

During his 45-minute tea discussion with the Queen at Windsor Castle, Mr. Biden said the Queen asked him about his Russian and Chinese counterparts, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping.

It is "very rare" for anyone, including the UK Prime Minister, to expose the contents of a meeting with the 95-year-old queen to the general public.

Mr. Biden told the journalists at Heathrow Airport on Sunday evening, just before leaving for Brussels: “We had a long chat, she was quite generous.” She didn't seem offended, but she reminded me of my mother. In terms of her appearance and her generosity.”

Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin were also brought up by the Queen during her questioning of the US president. “She wanted to know what the two leaders that I'm about to meet with, Mr. Putin and she wanted to know about Xi Jinping,” he told reporters.

As part of his European journey, Mr. Biden will meet with his Russian counterpart next week.

At Windsor Castle, he was accompanied by Jill Biden, the First Lady of the United States of America.

Mr. Biden had previously stated that relations between the two countries — the United States and Russia — were at an all-time low. “I believe that meeting with him is the best approach to deal with this.”

“I said I wish we could stay longer, maybe we could hold the cars up a minute, and stuff,” Mr. Biden told White House media about his visit with the Queen. In any case, she was extremely gracious.”

Before entering, the Queen introduced the US President and First Lady to her lady-in-waiting, Dame Annabel Whitehead.

Mr. Biden stated that the Queen has been invited to visit the White House.

Frank Gardner, a BBC security correspondent, was obliged to publicly apologize in 2012 after revealing what the Queen had informed him about Abu Hamza, the imam of Finsbury Park mosque in north London, on Radio 4.

A fragment of the conversation between the Queen and Mr. Biden was previously reported by the Press Association. The Queen reportedly stated to President Biden, "You completed your conversations," to which Mr. Biden replied, "Yes, we did."

Mr. Biden was received by the Queen, who was standing alone two months after her husband, Prince Philip died. He arrived in a black Range Rover after traveling on the Marine One presidential helicopter.

During the G7 meeting, the Queen hosted a reception for Biden and other G7 leaders at the Eden Project in Cornwall, which was also attended by Prince Charles and Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, and Prince William and his wife, Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge.

The Trumps visited in 2018, the Obamas in 2016, President George W Bush and his wife in 2008, and the Reagans in 1982.
