Logan Paul survived an eight-round exhibition boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Sunday night, but Mayweather controlled most of the fight.
Neither fighter was knocked down, but Mayweather landed crisper punches and more of them than did Logan, the YouTube celebrity.
It was not enough for the crowd, which rained down boos at Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins.
“I had fun,’’ said Mayweather, 44, during a post-fight interview. “You got to realize I’m not 21 anymore. But it’s good to move around with these young guys. ‘’
Paul, 26, was fighting for only the third time — yet faced off against a Hall-of-Fame boxer considered among the best in the sport’s history.
“I don’t want anyone to tell me anything is impossible ever again,’’ Paul said. “The fact that I’m in here with one of the greatest boxers of all time proves that the odds can be beat.
“It’s an honor to grace the ring with him. I don’t know, this is the coolest thing ever. I’m happy I made it out. He’s tough to hit.’’
